"D Day-Tarakan on 1st May, 1945 as seen by Chaplain L. T. Ugalde" - an account of an address (mainly an extract from Ugalde's diary 1 May 1945) given to the Rotary Club of Numarkah by Rev. L. T. Ugalde, Chaplain to the Hume Regiment 59 Infantry Battalion, Shepparton. (The invasion of Tarakan Island, off the coast of Borneo, was conducted by the 9th Australian Division). Also War diary, 8 May 1915-11 May 1919, Describes experiences as a sapper on active service in France and Belgium. Also extract from "More Australian Pioneers-the Burchetts and related families." by Sir Ronald East (Extract contains biographical details re R. D. Stroud.
